Social Impact

Hurley is a water-borne company. When we see that 1 in 6 people in the world do not have access to clean water, it compels us to ask:

It started in 2008 with the founding of H2O, Hurley’s water initiative. The mission? To inspire water activists to help change the stats. Since then, we’ve partnered with Jon Rose and Waves For Water, who are saving lives one filter at a time on the frontline of countries like Haiti, Brazil, and Indonesia.

We’ve aligned with Evan Marks and The Ecology Center, a local organic farm that inspires the next generation of water activists.

And we are raising awareness as a company. With surfing icon and humanitarian Rob Machado as a source of inspiration, water awareness is part of Hurley’s everyday conversation and helps inform our decision-making.

We are all Activists

When access to clean water is an issue the whole system breaks down. As surfers travel the globe and see this challenge firsthand, we knew we needed to mobilize and create change. With Hurley H2O we were determined to do our part.
